Do prices jump at renewal?
No. We don't run teaser rates that balloon later — a domain renews at its standard rate, not an inflated one. We email a reminder with the exact renewal price before anything is charged, and you control auto-renew yourself. If a domain is offered at a first-year intro price, we label it clearly at checkout and tell you what renewal will cost.
Is WHOIS privacy really included?
Yes — on every domain whose registry supports it, from day one, at no extra charge. Without it, your contact details would appear in the public WHOIS record; our privacy service keeps them off it. A few registries (like .io) don't allow privacy — we tell you which, on the search results, before you buy. You can turn it off anytime.
Can I move a domain I already own to FogMonkey?
Domain transfers follow the standard ICANN rules (an auth code from your current registrar, and a domain that's at least 60 days old and unlocked). Reach out to support and we'll walk you through it.
What happens if I let a domain expire?
You'll get renewal reminders beforehand. After expiry a domain moves through a grace and redemption window set by the registry before it's released — renew in time and you keep it without interruption.
Will I get emails from anyone other than FogMonkey?
Yes. Our registrar, SRSplus, sends a few required notices on our behalf from partners@srsplus.com: a one-time request to verify your email address (please click it within 15 days, or the domain is suspended), renewal reminders if a domain isn't renewed, and a notice when your contact details change. They're genuine and carry FogMonkey's name. If you're ever unsure, email support@fogmonkey.com.
Are registration fees refundable?
Registration, renewal, and transfer fees are generally non-refundable once submitted to the registry, because those charges can't be recovered. See our Terms for the details.
